Mrs. Clara Dean Magee was born in a rural town in Marion County, MS. She was married at the age of 14 and had two children, Ewayne and Elaine. She was a pillar in her community and a matriarch in her family. She enjoyed cooking, fishing, and spending time with her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren in her free time. She was a light to everyone she came in touch with and left a lasting impression. Sadly, she departed from here on April 10, 2022. She had a passion for learning new skills and facing challenges.
Her family has created a scholarship in memory of her. This scholarship will be awarded to one student who meets the following criteria:
Incoming or Current Freshman as of Fall 2024
Resident of Walthall County (MS) or Marion County (MS)
2.5 Grade Point Average (GPA) on a 4.0 Scale
Attending Accredited Junior or Community College, Technical/Trade Program, or 4-year University
